Herodotus Press is small boutique press specialising in publishing great writing. We specialise in finding thrilling, chilling, intriguing and interesting tales from around the world and are looking for partnerships with people with a tale to tell and a unique voice.

Among our highlights so far is In My Brother’s Shadow, which is a disturbing psychological drama by Peter Campbell set in the forbidding atmosphere of former Yugoslavia and Russia, The History of Rome: The Republic by podcast historian Mike Duncan, and translations by Russia’s greatest writer Alexander Pushkin.

This year is promising to be an exciting year as we move on to a new series starring former Royal Marine Commando Jay Samson. For those of you looking for a genuine thriller with a sense of realism Stepping Into the Unknown is the book for you. Based on actual events Jay Samson is looking to enjoy newfound freedom in civvy street when a terrorist attack on Bali destroys his place of work and leads him to become a security consultant.  Getting work on an isolated pearl farm on Sumbawa island in Indonesia, Jay finds himself alone, unsupported and unarmed amongst ruthless killers and hostile locals in a dangerous game involving the mafia and corrupt policemen.

Herodotus Press is also looking at some more translations from classic literature.
